Why don’t you have microwaves in the Library?

Microwaves are not present in the Library because of:

1. Cleanliness. Maintaining a clean/sanitary microwave proved challenging in the past.
    
2. Odors/ventilation. Heated foods can emit stronger odors that may be pleasant to one person, but disruptive to the study of others.

Dedicated dining areas (e.g., ULSU food court and Urban Market) provide seating and microwaves for users to consume their personal food selections.
